Ann Patchett is the author of six novels, including Bel Canto, Run and State of Wonder, which will be published by Harper Collins in June of 2011. She wrote a memoir, Truth & Beauty, about her friendship with the writer Lucy Grealy. Her nonfiction has appeared in many places including The New York Times, Harpers, The Atlantic, The Washington Post and Granta.  She lives in Nashville with her husband, Karl VanDevender.
