Beth Henley is a screenwriter, actress and playwright who lives in California. She was awarded the Pulitzer Prize and Dramatist Critics Circle Award for her play Crimes of the Heart, as well as Tony and Academy Award nominations. Henley adapted her play, The Miss Firecracker Contest, into a film starring Holly Hunter. Other works include The Wake of Jamey Foster, The Debutante Ball, Abundance, Impossible Marriage and Ridiculous Fraud. Her work has been produced internationally and translated into over 10 languages.
