Elizabeth Cox - 2011 Robert Penn Warren Award for Fiction recipient - has completed four novels: Familiar Ground, The Ragged Way People Fall Out Of Love, The Slow Moon and Night Talk, which won the Lillian Smith Award for promoting harmony between the races and was a finalist for the IMPAC Dublin Literary Award. She has published a collection of short stories, Bargains in the Real World. Her stories have been recognized in O. Henry Collection and mentioned by Best American Short Stories and Pushcart Prize. She has written essays for Ms. Magazine, Lears and The Oxford American. She has published poetry in Southern Poetry Review, The Southern Review, The Atlantic Monthly and others. She shares a Chair of Humanities with her husband, C. Michael Curtis, at Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
