Will D. Campbell is a Baptist minister, civil rights activist, author and lecturer. His autobiographical work, Brother to a Dragonfly, earned the Lillian Smith Prize, the Christopher Award and a National Book Award nomination. The Glad River won first-place from the Friends of American Writers. Other honors include a Lyndhurst Prize and Alex Haley Award. Campbell’s most recent works are A Black Politician’s Journey to the House: Robert G. Clark’s Story and Up to Our Steeples in Politics with James Y. Holloway.
